Here we have a super cool Astro Blaster game from Hales/Tomy.It is in full working condition. All controls work nicely. The speaker is loud & clear, and the VFD display is bright.
I have checked the internal electronic performance.
The game runs nicely off an appropriate adaptor, or 4 ‘C’ batteries (not supplied). The battery terminals are very clean - hence running well from the batteries. The battery compartment is also very clean, with no previous leakage. The door hinges freely and locks in beautifully.
The unit is in very nice cosmetic condition overall for its age, with only minor playwear and small marks to the casing - HOWEVER, please note that there is a crack in the screen. This is a stable crack (and only in the front screen plastic, which has no effect on the actual 'display' inside). The game plays perfectly well as it is, and a replacement is extremely easy to fit if you have a donor unit. Priced accordingly with no returns as the game itself works. A cheap playable example to get one into your collection!
