Totally original. No donor parts/spares, etc. Original power transformer, speakers, etc.
Very loud. Extremely crisp and clear. Great output from both cassette decks.
A solid, original and great sounding example of this rare model, which has just been serviced for sale. This one has just had a full service, including (but not limited to):
Full 5 Belt Kit
2 new capstan take-up sleeves
Clean and 'rubber renue' treatment of pinch rollers, idlers, etc
Oil of both motors
Cassette speed calibration
Test, including APLD auto-search function on FF and Rewind.
Both cassette doors open smoothly and slowly with their dampened mechanism.
The battery terminals are clean, and the battery cover is present
All LEDs function as intended, and the radio dial light works.
The FM stereo works perfectly with proper pilot signal alignment and with the telltale light. The FM muting works well, only sounding the FM when a clear FM signal is detected (to stop the tuning static/noise).
A solid, heavy unit, and plenty loud for it's size!
The handle is strong and intact, with genuine mirror-finish chrome end caps.
It is a vintage item (nearly 45 years old!), so there is of course some wear and tear associated with age, with a few marks on the top and a bit of stubborn sticker residue - but it is overall in excellent condition for its vintage to be fair, with original knobs, aerials etc. Please see the photos for condition, as they were taken on the day of the listing.
Packaging will be thorough, tracked and insured, although you are very welcome to collect in person, with a demonstration. Please note that the auction is for the stereo only. Cassettes and power lead are for demonstration only. The power lead is the readily available 'Figure of 8' cable, so I do not like to risk transit damage by including them with the vintage, heavy boomboxes.
