I have serviced the unit, checking the internal components etc. I have also fitted a brand new old stock DC input jack for trouble-free playing from the mains.

It runs off a DC adaptor or batteries (not supplied). It is nice and loud, with a super bright VFD display. The controls all function beautifully.
The battery cover is present and original, the contacts are clean.

A great gift, guilty pleasure, decoration, or talking point for the home or office! There aren't many clean, complete examples out there anymore.
