Sanyo MGR59 Walkman Personal Radio Cassette Stereo

Here we have a super cool Sanyo MGR60 AM/FM Radio Cassette in very nice working condition, having just been serviced.

It has just had a new belt fitted. Additionally, the head, capstan, pinch roller and pulleys have been cleaned. The switches have been internally cleaned, and the whole unit deep cleaned and polished.

The motor speed had been checked, and all cassette functions perform correctly. The headphone jack has been checked on the board and with headphones, and is solid - providing left & right channels reliably. 

The radio is clear and responsive, with both AM and FM working (subject to local coverage, of course). The FM Stereo light also works, showing that the FM separation circuitry is working properly.

The battery terminals are clean and working effectively.

The belt clip is present, and the battery door locks in properly.

The overall condition is very clean and genuine, with only fair wear, and a discrete resin reinforcement to the belt clip mounting, which is solid and secure (please see photos) - 

The unit has been tested with mains power and batteries at the time of listing (not supplied).

The unit is in genuine condition, with all original knobs, switches etc present and in working order.  Please see the photos of the actual item for sale, as they are an important part of the description. It is a great sounding unit, having just been serviced - so it’s ready to go - either as a decoration, or a cool retro radio cassette for the home, studio, or on the move. A lovely, portable, vintage but functional item! In fact, you could hook it up to pretty much anything with an auxiliary input if you just wanted an occasional tape player/radio.
