Sanyo MGP30 Walkman Personal Cassette Stereo

Here we have a super cool Sanyo MGP30 Auto-Reverse Stereo Personal Cassette Player in very nice working condition, having just been serviced. It can play regular Type 1 and even Metal tapes. It has an excellent 3-band Equaliser too. The auto-reverse and FF/RW are demonstrated working in the video.

It has just had a new belt fitted. Additionally, the head, capstan, pinch rollers and pulleys have been cleaned. The switches have been internally cleaned, and the whole unit deep cleaned and polished.

The motor speed had been checked, and all cassette functions perform correctly. The headphone jack has been checked on the board and with headphones, and is solid - providing left & right channels reliably. 

The battery terminals are very clean and working effectively.

The belt clip is present with original screw, and the battery door locks in properly.

The overall condition is very clean and genuine, with only fair wear (please see photos) - it is a lovely example of this rare model. 

The unit has been tested with mains power and batteries at the time of listing (not supplied).

The unit is in unmolested condition, with all original switches, sliders etc present and in working order.  Please see the photos of the actual item for sale, as they are an important part of the description. It is a great sounding unit, having just been serviced - so it’s ready to go - either as a decoration, or a cool retro radio cassette for the home, studio, or on the move. A lovely, portable, vintage but functional item! In fact, you could hook it up to pretty much anything with an auxiliary input if you just wanted an occasional tape player.
