Portable Cassette Player in near mint condition, having just been serviced. It sounds fantastic - loud and clear! Believed to be the only serviced example on the market today.
It has both FF and RW, along with an auto-reverse feature and bass boost. The battery status LEDs work, as do the audible function beeps.
It has just had 2 new Decktech precision belts fitted. Additionally, the head, capstans, pinch rollers and pulleys have been cleaned. The controls have been internally cleaned, and the whole unit deep cleaned and polished.
The head alignment and motor speed have been checked (tuned to exactly 3Khz - see photo), and all cassette functions perform correctly.
The battery terminals are clean and working effectively. The battery door locks in properly. The sale includes the original accessory 'AA' battery holder in new condition.
The overall condition of the stereo is excellent, with only very minor wear for age (please see photos) - a gorgeous fully working example of this rare model.
The stereo is in original condition, with all original knobs, buttons etc present and in working order. It is a great sounding unit, having just been serviced - so it’s ready to go - either as a decoration, or a cool retro cassette for the home, studio, or on the move. A lovely, portable, vintage but functional item! In fact, you could hook it up to pretty much anything with an auxiliary input if you just wanted an occasional tape player!
