JVC Vintage Cassette Recorder in working condition. Amplifier for demonstration only, and not included.
This is a very early 'KD' with the upright loading mechanism (this model did not have a cassette door, but used a head cover panel. The head cover panel is present and undamaged - still very clear and hinges properly.
The cassette speed has been calibrated at 3Khz and 3.15Kz (please see the photo of the 3.15Khz test speed, which is perfect). I have also cleaned the heads, capstan and pinch roller. The azimuth head alignment has also been set, as have the channel output levels (again, please see oscilloscope pictures). The belts are in very good condition, and the wow and flutter has been checked.
All play modes function correctly (including FF/RW, and the counter display), and the VU meters work well - both lit up nicely too.
A lovely clean example overall. Only very minor wear/patina for it's 46 year of age! Please see the photos for condition, as they were taken on the day of the listing.
Packaging will be thorough, tracked and insured. The cassette and interconnects are for demonstration only. As per listing title and description, AMPLIFIER NOT INCLUDED of course! Please note that the unit currently still has the factory-fitted 2 pin plug for direct power take-off from a suitable amplifier (such as demonstrated in the video). Please let me know within 24 hours of purchase if you would prefer me to replace this with a regular wall plug, and I will swap it out for you
