Ferguson PS54 Walkman Personal Cassette Stereo

Here we have a super cool Ferguson Portable Cassette Player in very nice working condition, having just been serviced. It sounds great - loud and clear!

It boasts 2 headphone sockets, and has both FF and RW. There is even a 3 bang equaliser on board!

It has just had a new belt fitted. Additionally, the head, capstan, pinch roller and pulleys have been cleaned. The controls have been internally cleaned, and the whole unit deep cleaned and polished.

The motor speed had been checked, and all cassette functions perform correctly. 

The battery terminals are clean and working effectively.

The battery door locks in properly.

The overall condition is very clean and genuine, with only fair wear (please see photos) - it is a nice fully working example of this rare model. 

The unit has been tested with mains power and batteries at the time of listing (not supplied).

The stereo is in original condition, with all original knobs, buttons etc present and in working order.  Please see the photos of the actual item for sale, as they are an important part of the description. It is a great sounding unit, having just been serviced - so it’s ready to go - either as a decoration, or a cool retro cassette for the home, studio, or on the move. A lovely, portable, vintage but functional item! In fact, you could hook it up to pretty much anything with an auxiliary input if you just wanted an occasional tape player!
